A little bit about me...
From a very early age, my journey in jewelry-making began. I used to make jewelry out of anything and everything (sterling demitasse spoons antique buttons, sterling napkin rings) Some of my inspiration also came from my Dad who used to collect roadside stones – they didn’t look like anything special – but when he tumbled them and made them into jewelry, they became treasures.
When I was 14 my parents signed me up for silversmith classes. I was trained by a silversmith-stay-at-home mom who was looking to make money while taking care of her baby. Little did I know then, that years later I would use the skills that she taught me to start my own jewelry business when I had a baby. The Gilded Lily lives on many years and different roads later.
Over the years my business has gone from retail shops to juried shows to house parties back to retail shops as well as online at www.thegildedlilystore.com. My creations can be found at Coastal Locals in Rockport, MA and Silver Bear Emporium in Gloucester, MA. My design focus is generally simplistic, organic jewelry that feels good to wear – mostly coastal and artisan designs.
As my designs change over time (always a work in progress), it is my intention to use the best materials that I can find and strive to make unique and affordable pieces that can be enjoyed for many years to come. I want my customers to feel good about their purchase - my success is based on happy customers that come back again and again (and tell all of their friends).
I have been on Etsy since 2018 starting with my coastal and artisan jewelry creations at www.thegildedlilystore.com and my Etsy second shop has over 200 charms that I make from wax seal stamps, www.thegildedlilycharms.etsy.com, thirdly – a shop for my vintage finds because I can’t help but collect, www.gildedlilyfinds.etsy.com and lastly, a shop for items I intended to use with my creations but decided to destash on www.gildedlilycache.etsy.com
