caduceus symbolizes the staff that was carried by Hermes, the Olympian god, the messenger between gods and humans, thus the wings and a guide to the underworld. He was also the patron of travelers which is why it came to symbolize doctors as they had to travel by great distances by foot, to visit their patients and were considered messengers and diffusers of knowledge, like Hermes.
This charm measures approximately 5/8". Because the charms are each hand crafted, their size may vary ever-so-slightly.
Each seal is available in silver (99.99 percent silver vs. 92.5 which is sterling) or bronze for the same price. Each seal comes with a story about its existence (as seen in first paragraph of description)
