The historic seaport of Newburyport separated from Newberry Plantation (Newbury) in 1764 and became a city in 1851. Newburyport was well known for fishing, shipbuilding and importing/exporting. Captains of Newburyport exported rum from distilleries that were around Market Square well into the 19th century. Newburyport was also known for silverware manufacturing.
This charm measures approximately 5/8". Because the charms are each hand crafted, their size may vary ever-so-slightly.
Each seal is available in silver (99.99 percent silver vs. 92.5 which is sterling) or bronze for the same price. Each seal comes with a story about its existence (as seen in first paragraph of description)
99% of my charms are available to ship immediately from stock on hand. Rarely, but every once in a while when a charm is in high demand, it might take up to 1 week to ship.
